Erosion of bedrock uncovers ancient bone
Although the small vertebra in this piece is that of a beluga whale from the Baffin Island region of the Canadian Arctic, I used it to demonstrate how the current in a river erodes away a softer surrounding rock to not only uncover fossilised bone but also create interesting forms downstream from it.
